Growing Garlic

Hardneck garlic

I love garlic on everything, especially pasta. Garlic is fairly easy to plant according to some so I bought some seed garlic bulbs at Connon Nurseries in Belleville. This will be the first time I’ll be growing garlic so I planted both main types: hardneck and softneck (refers to the type of flower stalk). You plant Hardnecks right side up (like other bulbs), and you must cut off the stalks. Hardnecks produce many large bulbs that taste great and grow well in our climate.
